The newly redesigned Pinnacle course at Troon North has been named #1 in Arizona and #21 in the nation. Tom Weiskopf led a two-year project, which transcended typical course renovations and created possibly the best 36 hole public facility in the nation. He created an entirely new playing experience by blending the two courses together and changing the sequence in which the holes are played. Vista Verde golf course opened in 2006 in Rio Verde AZ, nestled in the Sonoran Desert just east of Scottsdale. Bordering the Tonto National Forest, Vista Verde golf course with it's gently rolling terrain and breathing taking views of the Four Peaks and the Mazatzal Mountains make the course an unadorned jewel of the desert. Designed by Ken Kavanaugh, this contoured cactus-strewn layout adorned with Mesquite and Palo Verde trees and eye catching mountain views is a course playable by all skill level players. Vista Verde Golf Club features a 40-tee practice range with tees on both ends of the range. Multiple target greens give one the precision practice to hone their short or long game. A practice putting green with chipping area rounds out our practice facility.

The Cholla Course at We-Ko-Pa has garnered countless honors and has quickly become recognized as the reference course for quintessential desert golf. Designed by Scott Miller, this 7,225 yard layout was named by Sports Illustrated as one of the 10 best new public courses in the world shortly after its debut. Since then, Zagat Survey 2006-2007 gives Cholla its highest rating among all Arizona courses and Golfweek ranked the layout #2 on its 2006 list of the state's best public courses. Located adjacent to Scottsdale and Fountain Hills on land owned by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, We-Ko-Pa (Yavapai for "Four Peaks") is routed through unspoiled Sonoran desert, free from residential or commercial real estate development. In fact, there is not even an out-of-bounds stake to be found on this pristine course where endless mountain vistas provide the backdrop.

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw survey the land for their latest design, the Saguaro Course at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club. Saguaro, which opened December 16, 2006, is a desert golf experience unlike any other. Integrating design elements not commonly found in the desert, the course is built for walking and has more in common with older, more traditional courses where greens are close to tees and the course follows the natural movement of the land. Saguaro has already been featured in numerous golf publications including Golfweek, which currently ranks it as the #1 public access course in Arizona. In addition, GOLF magazine named it one of the "Top 10 Best New Courses You Can Play" in the United States 2007.

Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona is a truly unique southwest golf experience. The golf course, clubhouse and teaching center are sensitively designed to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Gila River Indian Community. This challenging golf course features gradual elevation changes, great bunker designs with multi-tiered greens. The Cattail is the newer of the 2 courses on this 36 hole property.

The Devil's Claw course at Whirlwind is the original course on this 36 hole property. the course reflects the plant palette indigenous to the Gila River with Mesquite, Saguaro, Palo Verde, and Cottonwoods blending with native grasses to recreate the Gila River as it was when the waters still flowed on the reservation. It's design is dominated by gradual elevation changes, multitiered greens, and challenging bunker design. This course hosted the Nationwide Tour's Gila River Classic in years 2001 and 2002.

The Faldo Championship Course, which plays up to 6,846 yards, sits on a 174-acre site and offers a slight variation from the typical desert-theme courses. It features generous fairways, large greens and tee boxes. The surrounding mountains and century-old saguaro cacti as well as 108 sand bunkers, reminiscent of the Australian sand belt courses, provide a spectacular setting for the golf course and golfing guests.

The Palmer Signature Course plays up to 7,145 yards, providing a very scenic desert experience. The expansive fairways allow the player to remain in play even on an errant shot. The flashed bunkering on Palmer is superb, and the putting greens carry plenty of undulation, like many Arnold Palmer designs. The expansive square footage of the greens (average size is 7,000 square feet) allow the undulations to create subtle challenges for the short game without feeling contrived or "tricked up".
